Colorado Camel Milk

Yes, you read that right.  I have been in the biggest rabbit hole of my life with  studies that analyze therapeutic uses of camel milk. The camel farm above is where I buy mine, although it is also carried by WholeFoods in some states. I have an article in progress, so details are coming soon. Be intrigued. Visit Website

Niwot Market

I’ve always been a fan of family owned grocery stores, but I value Niwot Market for more than just small town charm. The foods I recommend to clients seem obscure to some, but they can invariably be found at Niwot Market. In addition, in summertime when I tour local farm-stands, I invariably run into Niwot Market’s owner Bert Steele, there with his white van to load up whatever looks good to haul it back to the store. Values, integrity and a commitment to quality run deep at this small town grocery store, and they will always, always have my business. Visit Website

Ollin Farms

We are lucky enough to be surrounded by organic farms here in the valley, but the one closest to my heart is Ollin Farms. Their CSA is the highlight of my summer, and my children leave their summer camps calling it ‘my farm’.  Mark is known as the ‘mad scientist of soil health’, something that directly and dramatically impacts the nutrition profile of the food they grow.  In addition both Mark and Kena  tirelessly promote health and wellness education in the community. Itsera Martial Arts

If you are looking to be more active, consider trying one of Itsera’s  kickboxing, HIIT, TRX or boot camp classes. The instructors and regulars are like an inclusive, supportive family, but a family that packs a punch. As one might expect, this type of exercise does wonders for stress relief, as the mantra is to “leave it on the bag”. Visit Website

Roots and Branches Integrative Health

This is a practice in Boulder that specializes in ‘mystery illnesses’. People suffering  from vague symptoms that seem to be getting worse, but yet continually hear “everything looks great- your labs are normal” from their GP, should consider giving Roots and Branches a call. They test absolutely everything, and you leave knowing more about yourself, your body and your chemistry than you ever thought possible. Once upon a time, I was one of the ‘mystery illness’ people and Dr. Dorninger uncovered a mountain of things that were responsible for my symptoms. I am in dramatically different shape now. If you are being made to feel like a hypochondriac, take a deep breath and trust me when I say: You are not crazy. You just need a different doctor. Visit Website

Second Nature Massage

A massage from Jodi at Second Nature is like therapy. Her knowledge of the human body coupled with her God-given intuition make her sessions feel like a form of healing. You leave with a body that moves again the way it was intended to.  Every single person I have referred to Jodi reaches out to enthusiastically thank me. Visit Website
